On this rainy Monday morning, April 2, 2012 Sandy Barrett opened her home to current members of Friends of Nursing for a casual gathering and to enjoy spring tea and delicious delights.
The members mingled and had lively converstion, before Sandy Barrett, Friends of Nursing Board Member welcomed the more than 40 guests and gave a big thank you to the luncheon chairs Denise Monteleone and Veronica Selinko-Curran, MD, for a record breaking fundraising event.
Dr. Peg Van Bree, Chief Executive Officer of St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital gave her remarks and introduced the guest speaker: Claudia Smith, PhD, Director of Nursing Research, before Jon Gossett, Vice President and Chief Development Officer of St. Luke's Episcopal Health System, closed the official part of this morning.
