"Lone Star Night" Shines While Helping Houston Families
Wesley Community Center hosted their first “Lone Star Night” at Vintners Own in the Heights, raising donations for their organization benefitting care and support for Houston's working impoverished families.
Members of the Lone Star Night Committee, Diana Gabriel, Lisa Martinson, Sue Murchison, Cindy Murphy, Rev. Suzan Orr Carter, Kris Thomas, Patrice Wood, and Kristin Young were all in attendance alongside a huge turnout.
The evening included award-winning wines created by Vintners Own on tap as well as specialty bottles with the official "Lone Star Night" artwork label, designed by Houston artist Wiley Robertson. The "Lone Star Night" wines were such hit, they quickly sold out. The auction was a big hit also.
The entire evening was fun, festive and filled with friends and supporters of Wesley Community Center as all joined to make "Lone Star Night" a bright sparkle in the Houston night. As one guest commented, it is always so wonderful to come out and help such a great group with a mission that helps so many.
